COMMUNITY JUDGES

Community Judges need to be 18 years old or over and non-participants in the tournament season as well as eligible under NCFCA guidelines as stated on the NCFCA website. (http://www.ncfca.org) They can be relatives, friends, neighbors, former debaters, experienced at judging, or inexperienced at judging. We provide training, support and sustenance.

There will be multiple judge orientation sessions each day for both Speech (IE) & Debate. All judges must attend one orientation of the appropriate type (Speech or Debate) prior to judging a round. After attending a session you are ready to judge any event of that type during the full 4 day tournament. Additional orientation is only necessary if you wish to judge the other type of event as well.
