Tips regarding location of the event and cautions.

I-405 & I-5

These are heavily used freeways.

Hwy 520

Another heavily used highway

I-405 and Hwy 520 are the two major routes towards Redmond, where The Bear Creek School is located. Most commutes from any distance out will take at least an hour to this location and you should plan accordingly. Unfortunately, all the commutes are going toward Bellevue in the morning, which catches all the Redmond locations as well, and therefore we cannot get around it.

Also, expect the side streets to be in heavy use during peak commute hours....sorry, but everything you've ever heard about gridlock in the Puget Sound is probably true.

Some may chose to go further afield in search of areas where the hotels are less spendy. Going as far as Seattle unless you are staying with family or friends is NOT recommended. An hour or an 1 1/2 hour commute is not uncommon...especially going to Redmond/Bellevue.
